As the name says... A shop in the bush....with plenty to look at.
Eclectic shop! More a store of memories for us! Very interesting old things to buy, if you have a house just needing that certain something! The lady is very smart and begins to sell you before you even realise it! Allow a good half hour here, and take your wallet!
Interesting shop but a tad overpriced
An unexpected find on the scenic drive from Launceston to St Helens, we saw signs for "The shop in the bush" but weren't sure what it was, some sort of general store in the middle of nowhere?Turns out to be one of the best presented and we'll stocked gift stores we've come across on our travels.A varied collection of antiques (jewellery, glassware, ceramics, pewter, medals and other collectables), books, Tasmanian souvenirs, and fantastic artwork.Knick knacks for gifts through to truly valuable pieces from history. All neatly displayed, priced and worthy of your attention.An open fire welcomes you on a chilly day, as does the friendly lady who looks after the shop.My wife could have spent the whole day here!If they served coffee and food we would have.Something for everyone!
Always call in on our way through on holidays. Love this store and it has so many beautiful items. Always worth a stop as you never know what you will find to take home.
